During this part of my journey, I was heading north to pick up a friend in Los Angeles, who would then travel back to North Carolina with me. Our first stop was at the Elephant Seal overlook on Highway 1, where I saw wild seals for the first time in person. The ocean wind was cool, and the distant calls of the seals echoed like a chant from nature itself.
I've noticed that my thoughts and personal reflections don't seem as deep when I'm traveling with someone—there's less space for the quiet dialogue between me and Krishna. But there’s a peacefulness that comes with traveling alongside a friend. It's a different kind of grace—one that doesn’t ask for silence, but offers presence. The companionship brought a gentle rhythm to the journey, reminding me that even in moments of less introspection, the heart can still remain quietly tethered to devotion.
Sometimes spiritual connection doesn’t come through insight or solitude—but through shared laughter, quiet drives, or even just having someone nearby who understands the path you're on.
